Tarka dahl

Tarka dahl

Tarka dahl

The most comforting of Indian vegetarian dishes - an earthy, creamy dahl of split peas, red lentils and cashews, flavoured with mustard and cumin seeds, curry leaves and fresh coriander. Dish up as a stand-alone lunch or dinner over rice or as a side-dish with curries, breads and chutneys for the full Indian feast.

To Serve

Serve, sprinkled with fresh coriander, with coconut or steamed basmati rice, warm Indian breads, cucumber raita and chutney for a complete vegetarian dinner or serve with any other curry for an Indian feast.

Ingredients

Water, crushed tomatoes (tomato puree, citric acid), red lentils (10%), yellow split peas (10%), onion, coconut milk (coconut extract, water, guar gum), cashew, fried shallots (shallots, vegetable oil), garlic, ginger, fresh coriander, salt, rice bran oil, cumin seeds, mustard seeds, garam masala, curry leaves, turmeric, chilli powder, coriander ground

* We don’t add preservatives or additives to our meals – we cook with the same real ingredients you would find in your home fridge and pantry. Some of these household ingredients do contain sub-ingredients, for example Dijon mustard contains sulphites and crushed tomatoes contain citric acid. We try to find products with as few additives as possible and always list every ingredient in our meals, both here and on the label.
