This has everything we need for a completely satisfying – and slurpable - dinner or work lunch on the run: nicely thick udon noodles, spiced-up pork mince, Chinese broccoli and shiitake mushrooms, all bathed in a miso/chilli bean sauce with the tingling buzz of Szechuan peppercorns. Zap for 5 minutes, grab a pair of chopsticks and dive on in.

To Serve

This is a complete dinner for one – it really doesn’t need anything else. But you could always sprinkle with chopped coriander and sliced spring onion for a fresh hit of green.

Peel back the plastic film and remove the sachet of sauce. DEFROSTED: microwave for 2.5 minutes. Then add the sauce, stir gently and microwave for a further 30 seconds. FROZEN: place the sachet in a cup of warm water. Microwave the noodles for 4 minutes. Then add the sauce, stir gently, and microwave for a further 30 seconds.
