Serve with (what else?) tomato sauce. For cocktail or toddler sized sausage rolls, cut each roll into three before cooking. Cold sausage rolls make a great lunch-box filler too.

This was great for school and for snacks. I love the idea of hidden veggies too.

In a previous job I had to travel around the State, and my metric for a country town's bakery was their sausage rolls. The Dinner Ladies sausage rolls would get any small bakery 5 stars. The pastry is light, not gluggy, the meat is made tastier by the inclusion of veggies in the mix. Well done, Ladies.
