A simple, indulgent dinner that also works as a kids' freezer standby - an oozy, cheesy pasta bake with a crunchy breadcrumb topping. Is it Italian? Is it American? If it tastes this good, do we care? A green salad on the side will cut the richness and seal the deal.  

To Serve

To make a real dinner of it, serve with slow-roast tomatoes and baby spinach or any steamed leafy greens dressed with olive oil and lemon. (But we won’t judge if you just eat it as, is, straight from the foil. How good are the crunchy bits at the sides?)

Preheat oven (FF) to 200C. Remove plastic film. DEFROSTED: cook for 20-25 minutes or until it is heated through and the breadcrumbs are golden. FROZEN: cook for 25-30 minutes or until it is heated through and the breadcrumbs are golden.
