Classic beef lasagne

Classic beef lasagne

Our number one best-selling, best-loved lasagne is a reminder of just how good this celebratory Northern Italian dish can be – fresh, silky pasta sheets layered with a rich, slow-cooked beef and red wine ragu and mozzarella and blanketed in Parmesan-laced bechamel. It takes hours to make! And just minutes to wolf down...

To Serve

Serve with a salad of mixed green leaves or rocket and Parmesan. If feeding hungry teens, you might want to supply some crusty bread on the side, too.

Ingredients

We don't add preservatives or additives to our meals - we cook with real ingredients, just like you would at home. We do occasionally use kitchen pantry staples that include some additives. For example, tomato sauce contains acetic and critic acid.

Beef bolognese (49%) (minced beef (39%), crushed tomatoes (tomato puree, citric acid), onion, red wine (sulphites), celery, carrot, tomato paste, garlic, olive oil, salt, bay leaves, thyme), bechamel sauce (milk, parmesan cheese (milk, salt, cultures, non-animal rennet), butter (cream (milk), salt, culture), plain flour (wheat), salt, nutmeg), fresh pasta sheets (13%) [wheat, water], mozzarella cheese (pasteurised milk, salt, cultures, non-animal rennet, anticaking agent (460), preservative (200))

Seriously, never making a lasagna from scratch ever again

I said it in a previous review about the spinach lasagna, but after having the beef lasagna this evening - I'll say it again, and louder - hands down the best lasagna, I'll never slave away for hours making one at home ever again. Next order we'll get multiples of this hearty comfort meal!

    Best lasagne!

After our son was born 14 weeks premature in 2023, we received a LOT of lasagnes. Hands down, Dinner Ladies was our favourite of MANY tried. So much so that it's now a staple in the family dinner menu!
