This kind of sauce works well with a wider ribbon pasta, like fettucine or pappardelle, but there would be no shame in serving it with a chunky shape like penne or fusilli. A colourful vegetable gnocchi like pumpkin or spinach would also be delicious. Whatever the carb of choice, finish with some extra Parmesan, a good grind of pepper and serve a salad on the side, ideally with some bitter leaves like radicchio or endive into the mix.
Ingredients
Ingredients
Cream (milk), mushroom (17%), bacon (14%) (pork 97%, salt, mineral salt (450), sodium erythorbate, sodium nitrite, water), onion, peas, water, chicken stock (water, free range chicken bones, onions, carrot, celery and bay leaves), parmesan cheese (milk, salt, cultures, non-animal rennet), olive oil, butter (cream (milk)), dijon mustard (sulphites), garlic, parsley, plain flour (wheat), thyme, salt
* We don’t add preservatives or additives to our meals – we cook with the same real ingredients you would find in your home fridge and pantry. Some of these household ingredients do contain sub-ingredients, for example Dijon mustard contains sulphites and crushed tomatoes contain citric acid. We try to find products with as few additives as possible and always list every ingredient in our meals, both here and on the label.
