Vietnamese shaking beef stir-fry

A super-easy, family-friendly stir-fry where all the prep work’s been done – the beef strips are marinated, the sweet-salty fish sauce/kecap manis finishing sauce made, the red capsicum, onion and Chinese broccoli sliced and diced. Just steam some rice, fire up the wok and get out there shakin’! 

To Serve

Served with coconut rice or toss the stir fry through noodles. Finish with coriander or Thai basil if you’d like – and a handful of crushed peanuts or cashews would be a fun, crunchy addition. You could also throw in extra vegetables like bok choy, carrots and mushrooms. Just cut to size and blanch if needed before adding at the end of cooking.

Defrost fully, heat some oil in a wok or fry pan, then add the beef strips, shaking and flipping till browned, add the vegetables and continue to stir fry for approximately 30 seconds then add the sauce and mix through. allow to bubble slightly to thicken Serve with coconut rice or noodles.
