Cauliflower cheese. Mac and cheese. Both delicious, both the sort of familiar but slightly indulgent dishes we crave in cool weather. We steam cauliflower and boil macaroni till al dente, then combine the two in a smooth, creamy Gruyere and Parmesan sauce flavoured with sage, bay leaves and nutmeg. After dishing it up, we scatter it with breadcrumbs for extra crunch.
Pasta, cauliflower, garlic, gruyere, parmesan, pepper, butter, plain flour, onion, sage, bay leaves, cream, nutmeg, salt, bread crumbs.
