We slowly cook the rhubarb with sugar in the oven until it is tender before adding the strawberries.  We then continue to cook the fruits until they have collapsed and become a jammy concoction.

Our strong advice is to stash a couple of extras away as well to make your breakfast granola feel like five star luxury.
