Rice paper sheets
To liberate you from having to make a mid-week dash to the Asian supermarket, we're supplying packets of rice paper sheets to go with your Asian herb salad ,char siu pork and prawns. To serve, have ready a wide shallow bowl of warm water and dip a rice paper sheet in until pliable but not totally soft. Dry it on a tea towel and fill with some sliced pork, a few herbs and vegetables, a couple of peeled prawns and a drizzle of the dressing in a neat little column (don't go overboard - you'll end up with an unwieldy bundle). Wrap one side in over the filling from the left, fold the top and bottom over, then roll up from left to right, resulting in a secure package. (Warning: do not become noticeably proficient at this or you will spend too much time making rice paper rolls for others and not enough poking them in your own hard-working gob.) Each packet contains 20 sheets.
Rice, water.
