This one's for those, like me, who love a bit of fire but are forced to share their table with disappointingly heat-averse members of the family. With a fresh green salsa like this - blended jalapeno peppers, coriander, lime juice, garlic and spring onion - we can all happily sit down to a dish like the three bean chilli or beef picadillo empanadas and crank them up (or not) as our tastes and tolerance demand. Not suitable for freezing. 200ml.

This will go well with the beef picadillo empanadas or three bean chilli or but will find a home anywhere you need a bit of fire and freshness - scrambled eggs with or without chorizo comes to mind as a good start. It also turns a couple of ripe avocados into an instant guacamole - just mash roughly and stir through.
