17. Spiced pickled cherries
As well as being a lovely match for the duck confit, these cherries, pickled in red wine vinegar and spiced with star anise, juniper, cloves and other Christmassy flavours, are fabulous with ham and look very festive on the Christmas table. Note: The stones are left in, so take care. Serving size is 380ml.
Cherries, red wine vinegar, brown sugar, cloves, juniper berries, allspice, star anise, lemon, cinnamon, cardamon.
