24. Cocktail potatoes
For those who don’t have a spare oven at Christmas, these sweet new potatoes, simply boiled and tossed in herb butter are a marvellously stress-free alternative.

1 kg bag of potatoes
Serve as part of the Christmas spread - particularly good with ham.
Place in a saucepan with just enough cold water to cover and salt well. Bring to the boil and cook for about 15 minutes or until a sharp knife can just pierce through the largest potato to the centre. Drain and toss through the herb butter. Serve warm.
