Miso-garlic chicken stir fry
A crowd-pleasing mid-week dinner, with enough interest from the sweet-salty miso-mirin sauce to keep the grown-ups happy and nothing in the way of chilli/unfamiliar vegetables/general weirdness to scare the kiddies. Win win. This will come as a packet of sliced, marinated chicken breast fillet, with prepared veg (broccoli, carrots, onions, capsicum) and a delicious finishing sauce. To cook, fire up a wok or large frying pan and swirl around some mildly flavoured oil. Add the chicken and stir fry, flipping and turning till opaque and just cooked. Remove to one side while you stir fry the vegetables till crisp but tender - add a splash of water to help if necessary. Return the chicken to the wok and toss the sauce through to coat chicken and vegetables. Serve with rice or noodles.
