Free-range chicken nuggets

HERE'S HOW WE MAKE IT

We could call these "goujons de poulet" but who are we trying to kid? These are nuggets and we're out and proud. 

We take chunky pieces of free-range chicken breast fillet, very lightly seasoned, then roll them in flour, free-range egg and panko breadcrumbs. There's no added oil, no strange numbers and, triumph of triumphs, the children think that they are our finest culinary moment (which just shows why children are not allowed to vote but hey, they know their fast food).

INGREDIENTS

free range chicken breast, breadcrumbs [wheat flour, salt, yeast, dextrose, water], egg, plain flour, salt.

Peanuts, Tree Nuts, Dairy, Shellfish, Fish, Sesame, Soy, Sulphites .

GOES WITH

Tomato sauce, of course! 

PREP, COOK AND SERVE

Frozen product. Defrost in refrigerator. Once defrosted, cook and consume within 48 hours. 

Please note: this product contains raw chicken and should be fully cooked before consumption.

 

Preheat oven (FF) to 200C. Place nuggets on a baking-paper lined tray and brush or spray with oil.
DEFROSTED: cook for approximately 6-8 minutes on each side until golden.
FROZEN: cook for approximately 7-10 minutes on each side until golden. 
Alternatively, defrost and shallow fry in 5mm of oil until golden and cooked through. Drain on paper towel.
Serve with a green salad, tomato sauce or lemon aioli.

Ovens vary, please adjust cooking times if necessary.
