It's a bit of a cliche, but the main ingredient in our meat sauce is time - it's the long, slow cooked that takes a handful of simple ingredients: pork and veal mince, diced vegetables, red wine, tomatoes and herbs and transforms them into something so much more than the sum of its parts.

Once it's made, we cook penne till al dente and toss the sauce through, then sprinkle it with freshly grated grana padano, ready for you to reheat at home.

Serve as is, or with a green salad.

To microwave, pierce the film several times and microwave straight from frozen for 4 minutes, pull back the film, stir gently and microwave for a further 3 minutes. Allow to sit for 1 minute before serving.

To cook in oven, remove plastic film, place in a 180 degree oven, covered with foil, for 40 minutes from frozen, 20 minutes from defrosted or until heated through. 

Defrost information: May be cooked straight from frozen or defrost overnight in the fridge. Once defrosted, keep refrigerated and consume within 48 hours.
