Slow-cooked beef stroganoff

HERE'S HOW WE MAKE IT

First, we coat the beef in paprika and a little salt and pepper before browning off in the pan. We then add veal stock, Dijon mustard and Worcestershire sauce and simmer slowly for 3 hours. Once the beef is tender we stir through sour cream, pan-fried mushrooms and a sprinkle of chopped parsley.

INGREDIENTS

Beef, mushroom, veal stock [water, veal bones, onion, carrot, celery, garlic, bay leaves, black pepper], onion, sour cream (pasteurised cream (cream, milk), cultures), butter (cream, salt), Dijon mustard (sulphites), worcestershire sauce (water, vinegar, molasses, rehydrated vegetables, salt, spices, natural flavours, color caramel IV, spice extract), tomato paste, olive oil, garlic, paprika, salt, parsley, black pepper

SIZES

Small:
600g- serves two adults with accompaniments or more if tossed through pasta.

GOES WITH

Serve with buttered mashed potato or fresh pasta and a simple green vegetable like spinach or beans.

PREP, COOK AND SERVE

Frozen product. Defrost in refrigerator. Once defrosted, reheat and consume within 48 hours.

DEFROSTED: Pierce the film and microwave for 4 minutes or until piping hot. Alternatively, empty into a saucepan and heat gently until piping hot.
FROZEN: Pierce the film and microwave for 4 minutes then stir and heat for a further 2-3 minutes or until heated through.
Serve with buttered mashed potato or fresh pasta, with a simple green vegetable like spinach or beans.
