Plant-based super loaded vegie rice

HERE'S HOW WE MAKE IT

First we prep and just cook all the veg - carrots, corn, edamame, mushrooms and Chinese cabbage. We then steam brown rice till nutty and tender and prepare a finishing sauce of soy, sesame oil, ginger and maple syrup. We mix the rice, sauce and veg and finish the dish off with a sprinkle of chopped spring onions.

INGREDIENTS

Water, brown rice, mushroom, Chinese cabbage, edamame, sweet corn, carrot, onion, ginger, gluten free soy sauce (water, soybeans, rice, salt), spring onion, rice bran oil, maple syrup, garlic, sesame oil, salt

GOES WITH

A quick supper on its own - or top with a fried egg or pan-fried tofu. Also works as an accompaniment to any Asian dinner. 

PREP, COOK AND SERVE

Frozen product. Reheat from frozen or defrost in refrigerator. Once defrosted, reheat and consume within 48 hours.
This dish comes in a microwave-safe foil container. Ensure that you place only one tray in the microwave at a time and that it has room to move freely.

Peel back the film and pour the sachet of sauce over the rice then lay the plastic film back over the tray.
DEFROSTED: microwave for 2 minutes. Stir and microwave for a further 2 minutes, or until piping hot.
FROZEN: microwave for 4 minutes. Stir and microwave for a further 2 minutes, or until piping hot.
Serve on its own with a fried egg or pan-fried tofu or as an accompaniment to any Asian dinner.

Microwave ovens vary considerably please adjust heating times if necessary.
