Pearl cous cous with preserved lemon, currants & almonds
- Individual:Serves one adult as a generous main, two as a side
- Small:Serves two adults as a generous main, four as a side
Serve with the North African coconut chicken, as a salad with herbs and salad leaves of your choice, or warmed as a side dish. Add grilled halloumi or feta along with herbs and salad leaves to make a more substantial vegetarian dish.
Frozen product. Cook from frozen or Defrost in refrigerator. Once defrosted, consume within 48 hours.
Please note: this dish come in a microwave-safe foil container. Ensure that you place only one tray in the microwave at a time and that it has room to move freely.
To serve as a salad, defrost fully before adding the nuts. Toss through with your choice of chopped herbs and baby salad leaves (eg coriander, parsley, spring onions, baby spinach) before serving.
Can also be served as a warm side dish.
Individual: Gently peel back the film and remove the nuts. Loosely replace the film and microwave for 4 - 6 minutes (from frozen) or 2 minutes (from defrosted). Add almonds and stir through. Microwave for a further 1 minute or until piping hot and serve, sprinkled with chopped herbs.
Small: Gently peel back the film and remove the nuts. Loosely replace the film and microwave for 10 -12 minutes (from frozen) or 4 minutes (from defrosted). Add almonds and stir through. Microwave for a further 2 minutes or until piping hot and serve, sprinkled with chopped herbs.
